Hello, all!

Don’t forget to place your order on Manchester Locally Grown market. The market will be open till 10 pm tonight. Delivery fresh from local farms will be made on Thursday.

Remember that we are a year-round market, not subject to seasonal closings like the local farm stands. You will find special items here – honey, jellies & jams, herbal & handmade products, plants for home & garden, and more – as well as spring vegetables, eggs, and baked goods. And gift certificates are available in any denomination. Give the gift of great local products!

Pickup of your order will be at Square Books, 113 E. Main St, Manchester, from 3:00-4:30 on Thursday. We can also hold your order in the refrigerator till Friday morning, if that’s more convenient for you. Square Books will be open on Friday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Just make a note on your order, or text or call (931) 273-9708 if you prefer to utilize this free service.

Thanks for your orders last week! Please encourage your local friends and family to shop at our year-round market and support local farmers!

Blessings,
Linda

Here is the complete list for this week.

Champaign, OH:  Welcome Back!!

We now give a heart felt welcome back to the gang at End Of The Road Farms!!! When we last saw them, they had just had baby Mary, they were heading into winter, and they had big plans for the upcoming season!!

And so…now they are back!! With their first offerings of the season…take advantage, make your orders, and just like with all seasonal produce, it won’t be around for long!!

Peace, Love, Good Vibes…
Cosmic Pam

Martin's Farmstand:  Strawberry flowers

The online market is open for orders. Asparagus is in its prime season now. The strawberries came through the winter nicely. They are blooming beautifully now and there should be berries ready in about 4 weeks, or maybe a little sooner. I have spent a good portion of the day today pumping water on them. During the bloom and fruit sizing stages strawberries need a good soaking rain or irrigation at least every 5 days or so to give a full crop. We are way behind normal rainfall so far this spring, I hope it rains tonight. There are little cucumbers on the vines in the greenhouse and Melvin picked the first ripe tomato. In a week or two we should have them for sale. Enjoy the springtime. Daniel

Orders have been low for Cedar Rock Dairy over the last month. Consistency is key. The cows don’t stop producing milk just because we forgot to order! Sam Jones and his helpers work very hard and travel several hours in order for us to enjoy the healthy and wonderful milk produced by his tested A2 cows. These girls enjoy grazing on 1200 of organic pastures and producing milk!

Unfortunately, if our orders don’t increase we stand to lose this great Farmer and the healthy goodness he provides. The quality and taste of the milk produced by Sam’s cows is undeniable!

Little Tots Estate provides us with fresh, raw Goat Milk (for our pets). Rusty’s Does have had their kids for the Spring season and he reports that there is LOTS of Goat Milk available! It is delicious and makes wonderful cheese!

It takes a tremendous amount of work, dedication and passion to provide the quality of the products found on our market. The growers and artisans offer us the best products to support the healthy choices we are making. Please consider showing your support for these Farmers and Artisans by ordering their products. Your food dollars matter greatly to these dedicated folks.

Please be assured that we are doing everything we can to provide you with what you want from the local Farmers/Growers and Producers; but, please understand that Buying Local means supporting those who are committed to providing ‘Local’!
